Once a traveler far from home, immersing himself in the culture and language in Mexico, Eric Stumberg found comfort in the words "Tengo Internet" in response to an inquiry for Internet service in cafés and other establishments. The words indicate Internet service is available. On a career hiatus after leaving Round Rock-based Dell Inc. and relying on the Internet to stay in contact with family and friends and his business interests, Stumberg gained a better understanding of the value of people staying connected. “That was the moment I knew,” says Stumberg, President, CEO and Co-founder of Texas-based wireless service provider company TengoInternet, Inc. He said, “We have to do this,” and within weeks, TengoInternet was started. The company was founded in the fall of 2001.
